Workout out at home might cost quite an effort but there is no other place where we can do something for our body so easily! All we need is what each one of us brings along naturally: our own body weight. To make it a bit more thrilling, though, we can also use some aids. Although I don’t mean weights, skipping ropes or kettle bells! Much easier than that…
Working out as a working mum used to be a real challenge. Before I had kids I worked out regularly but as a working mum I often lack time for it. Therefore I started to integrate my kids into my workout. Here I will explain how this became a real kids play:
I admit that I was quite sceptical when I booked a canoe trip for myself, my husband and our two kids (4 and 9 years old). A mum I am friends with told me that it was totally chaotic when they went to try that out. We were absolute beginners as well. But I can tell you that much: it was great! But one thing at a time.
People approach me quite often how I work out. When I tell them that I run a lot but also lift weights many are surprised. Do weights cause bulky muscles so that us women look like guys? That’s at least the general opinion! But the truth about weight lifting is a different one.
I learned one thing: no matter what cup size gravity gets us all! We therefore definitely need the right sports bra so that the ups and downs while working out don’t support the sagging in a fatal way. But to find the right one is not that easy….
