La Banca – a guarantee for great food!

The restaurant La Banca is part of the Roccoforte Hotel de Rome in Berlin. That’s were our first mutual TwoTell Ladiesdinner had takn place inthe summer. Ever since we knew that a recommendation of the restaurant needed to take place! Therefore we chose Tanja’s birthday to go into detail concernng the food. A visit is absolutly worth it! Lobster menu at the restaurant Duke – a tip!

The name alone was promising: lobster menu. And on top created by chef Florian Lauert at the restaurant Duke in Berlin. We didn’t need to know more to set out again for another visit! Because at the Duke inside of the Ellington Hotel in berlin we are allowed to look over the master’s shoulder. And we get exclusive tips that we love to share with you of course!

Cooking unplugged – dining without electricity!

Cooking unplugged could be everything: broiling, baking stick bread or – as at the Duke restaurant inside the Ellington Hotel in Berlin – high cuisine! We tried it out and were surprised about the delicious creations by head chef  Florian Glauert who together with the fantastic head chefs Markus Semmler, Ben Pommer, Thomas Imbusch and the brothers Eggert came up with an artful and exquisite menu!

Das Schwein – a first class wine bar!

We found out that the Das Schwein (the pig) is everything but what the name implied! There the wines as well as the dishes were mouth-watering. In addition the interior of the wine bar was very stylish and the staff extremely nice and well informed. Even though the das Schwein is a wine bar a visit is not only worth it because of the drinkable but also because of the edible delicacies.

Sweet potatoes-figs-combination: best side dish ever

The grill season has started and my husband and I are total barbecue fans. And while he loves to stand at the huge grill to take care of the main course I always ask myself: what side dish am I going to prepare? Ever since I tasted an unusual combination of sweet potatoes and figs at a friends place I am addicted to it. And so are our barbecue guests by the way. In addition the best side dish is fast to prepare and looks really nice as well.
